Madness.

The other day, while going to college I saw a mentally ill person on the road. For a long time looked at the person, trying to understand his actions. I felt sympathy for him.

Thoughts linked and I went on to think why he must act in such a way. It was meaningless. But he wasn't completely wrong. He understood the earth and it's living and  non living beings. I gathered, there must be a reason for his actions which is only justified to him, yet not explainable to others.

All human beings are more or less mad people. We make stuff we break stuff, we like, we dislike. Not all have to have a greater meaning. Yet sometimes these are interpreted as not customary actions. When our actions go beyond the imaginations, it's termed madness.

So should we be regressive about madness? Let me tell you what actually happens. Sometimes madness is praised, and sometimes it's ostracized. Where some "mad" political ideas are implemented as conservative measures, other "mad" disruptive ideas kill thousands. Some "mad" ideas produce the best kind of results in the world, some make us wonder.

But will we be able to live without being mad? Madness is a very personal quality which make us implement actions, normally not thought off. It can increase excitement, passion, joy, love, hatred, anger and other emotions. It's self explaining and is essential as it gives us individuality of free expression and emotions. It produces unique actions which foster excitement and curiosity. It also result in the break from monotony.

Only I believe care should be taken that none of our mad activities have an adverse affect on others or their work. We don't have the right to harm anyone, not even ourselves.

  1. Reminds me of our recent conversation.

Truly, everyone must be a little mad to be real.
